The Bangiya Parishad's pandal design is reminiscent of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s Barnaparichay. While many Durga Puja pandals in the NCR region celebrate Bengali folk arts and culture, some are focusing on the theme of women's safety to empower the goddesses. Various pandals in CR Park showcase different themes, such as Kashi Vishwanath at B-Block, daaker saaj-style idol and alpona motifs at Mela Ground, and women's empowerment at Milani Cultural and Welfare Association's pandal. The pandal set up by Bangiya Parishad is inspired by Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar’s Barnaparichay, with pillars designed to resemble pencils. Gurgaon's Sector 56 theme is Barnoporichoy, while the Cooperative Ground Durga Puja Samity pays homage to rural Bangla with elements like haath pankha, gamcha, and handicraft items. The Durgotsab GK 2 pandal features Kalighat-style patachitra art on the ceiling, creating a visual sankirtan. Additionally, an artwork by Nilanjan honors the workers who built the Durgotsab GK 2 pandal.Pandal 40 in CR Park is currently showcasing traditional folk art from four regions of Bengal – Birbhum, Bankura, Purulia, and Midnapur, known for their rich red soil. Decorated with gamcha, the walls and panels at the pandal reflect the rural heritage of these regions. School teacher and artist Ashish was spotted adding final touches to a shora – hand-painted earthen discs.
At the Arambagh Puja Samiti pandal, the theme ‘Abandoned Mothers’ sheds light on the challenges faced by widows who are left to navigate life on their own. The Matri Mandir pandal provides a colorful journey into the heart of gram Bangla with vibrant Bengali artwork displayed throughout the alleys and panels.
In Sector 21, the Jalvayu Vihar Sanskritik Kalyan Samity’s pandal features a Bonedi Bari setup created by artists from Bengal, complete with green wooden windows and cross beams on the ceiling. Dhanuchi naach paintings adorn the pandal’s panels.
The 16th edition of Balaka Durgotsav in Sector 61, Noida, has adopted the theme ‘Temple of Peace and Harmony’. The off-white and gold pandal is decorated with intricate cut-outs of doves. Follow the Alpona on the street to reach the Noida Sector 137 Sarbojanin Pujo Samiti’s pandal, which showcases hand-painted kulos – hand-woven sieves commonly used in Bengali households.
Inspired by the movie "Sonnar Kella" (1974), DCDP Bengali Cultural Society in DLF Phase IV pays tribute to Satyajit Ray's cinema and the legacy of the Ray family – Upendra Kishor, Sukumar, and Satyajit Ray. The pandal’s facade resembles the golden fortress from the film. Meanwhile, Mayur Vihar Phase 3 also has its own...The structure has similarities to the Sun Temple of Konark.
